Thursday, October 1st marked the day of the annual Liberty North Nest Fest. The night kicked off at 6 p.m. when clubs of all sorts set up booths full of games, prizes, and contest to help raise money for their own cause. From Spanish Society to Cupcake Club, the front parking lot was buzzing with excitement as club presidents led children and even adults in games such as four-square and beanbag tosses.

“The atmosphere of everything was really fun. My favorite part was introducing the king and queen candidates; the skit was really funny too. I like how it connected to the theme,” sophomore Jaclyn Edlin said.

At approximately 6:45, the Screaming Eagles Marching Band marched down the street to meet the audience in the parking lot where they played the traditional fight song. StuCo then performed a skit, getting the crowd excited for the upcoming announcement of the homecoming king and queen. The cheerleaders and Golden Girls finished off the night performing their routines, getting the crowd excited for the upcoming announcement of the king and queen. After weeks of preparation, clubs, sponsors, and even students worked hard to prepare the best Nest Fest possible.
