Dishonored 2: Death of The Outsider

Dishonored 2: Death of The Outsider

Dishonored 2: Death of the Outsider is  stand alone downloadable content (DLC) , meaning it is apart from the main story of the game, for Dishonored 2. The DLC covers the story of Billie Lurk, who was introduced through the pseudonym Megan Foster in Dishonored 2, on her quest to kill the outsider.

Death of the Outsider follows much of the same Dishonored series most important features. Intriguing level design, fun and useful powers, and the ability play the game as you wish. In this game as the others, there are distinct choices, particularly in the fate of the Outsider (which I will not spoil).

The gameplay is the greatest thing about this DLC. The powers that Billie Lurk wields are both different and similar to the ones Corvo and Emily use(the protagonists of the first two games). Displace, one of Lurk’s powers, serves as the games teleporter. Moving her from one spot to another at a moment. Foresight, an entirely unique power to Lurk, allows the player to move around the level unseen to get the lay of the land. Finally there is semblance, arguably the most interesting and important power. It allows the player to take the appearance of a non player character (NPC) in order to access areas other wise hard or impossible to get to.

Overall dishonored 2: Death of the Outsider is a good cap on Dishonored 2, and maybe the series on a whole. If you enjoyed Dishonored 2 you will enjoy this DLC, whose only fault may be a little subpar level design. To me Death of the Outsider gets a 8/10, a good game to play if you have the time.
