All Aboard the Black Friday Train! Choo-Choo!

After getting stuffed from a Thanksgiving meal, many people like to spend the next morning sleeping in. Others prefer to stay out from dusk until dawn on the prowl for Black Friday deals.

“I am excited to go Black Friday shopping because even though it is chaotic, it can be really fun. It’s also nice to get gifts and things a lot cheaper than they normally sell for,” senior Sidney Ewing said.

Although the prices can go way down, for some it is not worth the hassle. Fighting crowds and standing through the freezing temperatures are a few of the inconveniences that can make the hectic shopping spree too much to handle.

“I’m not going Black Friday shopping this year because I can buy presents for people online. I don’t want to wait in line in the cold to maybe or maybe not get the presents,” junior Hayden Paulson said.

If participating in the Black Friday madness is preferable, it is important to respect other shoppers, and to not put getting good deals before the safety of others.

“My tips for Black Friday are keep your money close to you, and if you’re trying to fight someone for that last item, chances are it’s not even worth it,” Ewing said.
