Students with jobs

Many students at Liberty North High School have jobs throughout the year to give them spending money.

“I work at kid zone. It is an after school care for the elementary students in the Liberty district. We watch movies, play games in the gym. They like us to be active with the kids that are involved. It is a really fun and easy job because i love spending time with the kids.” Senior Katlyn Boman said.

There are many different types of jobs students can have.

“I work at Price Chopper. It’s a pretty good job although i just started i already like it. For what i do there i get paid pretty good for not having much to do.” Sophomore Ryan Haighey said.

Some kids say they like to work someone they like to shop because it is more enjoyable and you and get good discounts on the things you want to buy.

“I work at TJ Maxx. I organize the stuff in the store and hang up clothes, i also check people out on the registers. It’s an okay job and i get really good pay compared to other high school jobs. The managers there are very nice and understanding.” Junior Abby Dutton said.

The restaurant business is also pretty popular because around liberty has opened up a lot new restaurants providing good jobs.

“I work at Corner Cafe in Liberty. I started working there the start of summer and i’m really starting to like it. At the beginning i didn’t really how to do everything so it took time. One day i was cleaning the windows and some lady walked in and i sprayed her with the windex instead of the glass door..”  Junior Katie Bruckner said.

While speaking with these students everyone with a job agreed having a job in high school will help you in life because you learn responsibility. It will also help you with getting a job later on in life by having experience.
