Friday Night Madness is almost here. Both the girls and boys basketball teams of all levels including, eighth grade, will be able to showcase what they have been working on so far since tryouts. It will be a preview of what to expect for the upcoming season.

“I love Friday Night Madness. The environment is just so uplifting with all the students and parents coming out to support. It’s really just a great kickoff to basketball season”, senior Maddie Elder said.

The boys team has been very successful in the previous years with many conference and district titles and even a couple state appearances. One of their very own players, Jake Hanson, has returned this year to participate on staff and give back to his aba modern.

“It’s really cool how Jake is back here coaching considering he once was in the position the boys are now. I think he will be able to offer a lot of good advice because he’s younger and just has a different perspective than the other coaches”, junior Hayden Armour said.

Last year was one of the best records the girls basketball team has had in awhile. They only lost three seniors and have many varsity players returning this season. The expectations are set high.

“We’re really excited to see how this season turns out. We have a very young and talented team with only one senior so it’s going to be fun to see how we progress. We want to keep building on to the record we had last year”, sophomore Jayme Jackson said.
