On Thursday March 10, LNHS Basketball (@LNHSBasketball) Tweeted out to Liberty High School’s women’s basketball team saying, “Hey @LHSLadyJaysBB, want to have a get together Saturday? Say 1pm we come to you, 2:45 you come to us? #2Teams1Town @LIBERTYSCHOOLS.”

Both teams are competing in the round of eight this Saturday. “#2Teams1Town” is encouraging people from both high schools to watch the other’s game and cheer them on.

The Lady Jays responded positively, along with many community members and students.

“It’ll be cool seeing people come together regardless of their high school affiliation,” junior Mia Pirrello said.

Students from Liberty North are planning on arriving to the arena early to support the Lady Jays.

“I am looking forwards to seeing our guys play, but also to get to watch Liberty play as well. It will be something different, but good at the same time,” junior Jaden Diggs said.
