During the week of August 28th Liberty North was a buzz with excitement over the first matchup Liberty and Liberty North.

   “We were super excited, not just me and the school but the whole community. It’s never happened before and we wanted to be better than our sister school, kinda like a sibling rivalry. It was the first time we got to see who was actually. better” Junior Briana Byrd said.

  Sadly on Friday Liberty North players and fans went home disappointed, with the final score of the game ending at 30-20 Liberty.

  “Going in i was really pumped, when we left I was kinda upset but we tried hard and thats what matters. There’s plenty of games left to go to during the year and it’s nice to know that the  season’s not over ” Senior Bret snider said.  

 North did hold the lead in the half 14-9 getting the student section on the North side a wild burst of energy. All that exictment was swiftly taken on the first play of the second half with a kick return by Liberty.

“After they returned the kick everything went downhill and I knew it was over. I was shattered when that happened. ” Junior Nick Fuller said.

  Sadley for Liberty North, Liberty seemed to dominate the rest of the game. With the running back of Libety Robert Rawie running for two touchdowns, getting the lead. Even though North lost, the students and fans all had fun seeing the two teams face off.

“The excitement of all the people, and the chants made it fun. It was just exciting to be with everyone.” Sophomore Kaylin Clancy said.
