David Bowie was a legend in the music industry. He is most well known for his musical work during the 1970’s. He was considered an innovator, and was mimicked by many. Bowie stopped touring in 2004, but returned in 2013. He recorded and remained prominent in music, and Broadway Theater, and finished his career out strong, before passing due to liver cancer. Bowie’s death came as a surprise to many. He kept his illness a secret from all but a close few. Bowie worked through his illness, continuing to write as he fought the disease, but lost the battle at the age of 69. David Bowie was an idol to many, he will continue to be copied and modeled through many artists music. Bowie’s legacy will continue to live on.
