Some people are very committed to sports, and that is definitely the case with senior Thomas Mitchem. He is a two-sport varsity athlete for the Liberty North Eagles.
“I played every sport growing up except lacrosse,” Senior Thomas Mitchem said.
Mitchem plays varsity soccer and football right now. He has two practices a day sometimes. After he is done with soccer practice he goes to football practice for the varsity football team.
“I go to soccer practice, then I go kick field goals for the football team’s practice,” Mitchem said.
That is a lot of practice and hard work every day so he can play both of the sports. He has been committed to being an athlete for a very large portion of his life, mainly soccer. He has always played sports. It is impressive that he started playing soccer right around the same time he started to walk.
“I’ve played soccer since I was two years old. Ever since I learned to walk,” Mitchem said.
