Breakfast With the Experts
October 16, 2018
Health Occupation Students of America, or HOSA, wants to help members of its club and students at Liberty North get involved in the community and help its members meet experts from all types of medical careers.
“Breakfast With the Experts exposes members of HOSA to different careers and guide us through the many different jobs in the medical field,” senior Jordan Richardson said.
Students can get the chance to hear from a professional in careers they are interested in and learn all about a profession they might know very little about.
“Breakfast With the Experts offers Hosa members a look into careers they might be interested in in the future and clears up any misconceptions about careers and open members’ eyes,” senior Cassidy Norris said.
The most recent Breakfast With the Experts focused on physician assistants and offered students a chance to ask questions and get information firsthand about a career that doesn’t have a lot of exposure and many students don’t know about.
“Before the last Breakfast With the Experts I was a little confused about what the difference between a nurse practitioner and a physician assistant was and also how much schooling they had to have, so it just cleared up any questions I had about what that career was,” Norris said.
