Diversity Council

Here at Liberty North we have a large variety of diverse groups at our school. We have diverse opinions, activities, interests, and ethnic groups. Diversity Council’s job is to make students aware of this and to spread the acceptance of differences.

“Diversity Council is an organization that’s main goal is to educate the rest of the student body on our diversity, or lack thereof, here in liberty. We meet on the second and fourth Mondays during EH and we celebrate the diversity that we have here,” senior Luce Apollon said.

Diversity Council also has many events they take part in solely to fulfill this goal of theirs. By selling chocolate, they were able to save up money for these events.

“We take part in nest fest and other school-wide activities like that, but in terms of student-wide, in April we have our Diversity Day and Foods of the World Day,” Apollon continued.

All of these events Diversity Council hosts and takes part in contribute to their main goal; to educate the students of Liberty North on the diverse cultures and people we have.

“Foods of the World Day is where students who are from different backgrounds bring in food to share. This year we will do it during eagle hour so everyone has the opportunity to come and try different dishes from around the world,” Apollon said.
