10  Pusha T- “King Push”

The President of G.O.O.D. Music is coming off his appetizer project “Darkest Before Dawn: The Prelude” and on the intro of that project he promised to make King Push the greatest album of the year, a big promise. Push who hasn’t had a full album since 2013. 

9  Pearl Jam – TBA

A pioneer of grunge and alternative these Seattle rockers we huge in the 90’s. These guys are one of the greats and the older the get the more refined their music does. These cats may be old but they can outplay and rock harder than most of the bands today.

8 Isaiah Rashad – TBA

Isaiah Rashad is one of TDE’s more lesser known rappers but that doesn’t mean that his is bad, in fact his last project “Cilvia Demo” was very under-appreciated to most rap fans but it got very good critical acclaim. This album has been long in the works and very hyped up among TDE fans.  

7 U2 – “Songs of Experience”

Another pioneer of the alternative genre the Irish rockers land themselves at number 7. The last time that Bono and company released a studio album was 2013 and they always stick to their roots while always reinventing themselves it will be interesting to see where they take this project.

6 Mac Miller – “The Divine Feminine”

“GO:OD AM” cemented Mac Miller as not just another “white rapper” it said that he is here to stay. Miller has more of a “chill” style to his music with the occasional banger it will be interesting to see how he follows up his 2015 album.

5 Ab-Soul – TBA

The second TDE rapper to be showcased on this list and for good reason everyone on TDE has been killing it. Soul is probably the one of the more lyrical rappers out there he could over shadow almost anyone with one line. He hasn’t had a full studio album yet but when he will probably make waves, but that’s normal for TDE.

4 Childish Gambino – “Pharos”

Gambino killed it on his last studio album “Because the Internet” which was nominated for 2 Grammys. He has been kinda dormant because of things like being a comedian and actor honestly this guy is crazy talented and under-appreciated. Let’s see what you got for me Gambino.                              .

3 Gorillaz – TBA

This band pretty much put every alternative band on for the 2000’s. They made the blueprint and then some and they have talked up this album for sometime saying that is “Really special” if this doesn’t get alternative fans pumped I don’t know what will honestly

2 Travis Scott – “Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight”

“Rodeo” was a classic, you could probably listen to that project in 20 years and it would still go hard. It was definitely in my top 3 from 2015. Scott really knows how to put an album together and from the rumors that it was is better than “Rodeo” that has me jumping for joy.

1 J Cole – TBA

It had been way too long since Cole has blessed us with another project. His last album “2014 Forest Hills Drive” went double-platinum with no features, first rapper to do that in 25 years. This man and Kendrick Lamar run rap right now, Cole being more soulful with his music. The world needs more Cole music and there have many rumors that his album will drop before New Years.
